Your privacy is protected by law when it comes to drug and alcohol treatment. Under Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), there are strict rules about what information can be shared without your written consent. Your employer cannot terminate your employment for seeking treatment, and your insurance provider cannot cancel your coverage or penalize you for getting help.
A deductible is the amount you’re required to pay out of pocket for medical services each year before your insurance begins to cover additional expenses. This amount is part of your agreement with your insurance provider and must be paid first before your coverage takes effect.
A copay is a fixed fee you pay each time you use certain medical services. For example, a routine doctor’s visit might require a $20 copay.
Coinsurance is a fixed percentage of the cost that you agree to pay each time you receive a service. For example, your insurance may require you to cover 50% of the total bill for a doctor’s visit.
Your insurance sets a yearly limit on how much you have to pay out of pocket. After you reach this maximum amount, your insurance will cover 100% of the costs for covered treatments.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to a Treatment Advisor at +833-596-7486.
You can also get in touch with your insurance company directly— their phone number is typically listed on the back of your insurance card. Many providers offer a dedicated line specifically for inquiries about mental health and addiction treatment.
